Before and after.... home improvement style

We have done a few fixer upper projects around our house since moving in.  Jake put down a garage floor coating that is awesome in our garage.  I don't have pics of that.  We painted the boys room.  It was one of the first things we did because we had to fix a hole in the wall.  Here is a before (this is the previous owners stuff)

It kinda reminded me of an Andes mint....

Here is right after we painted.  It is called stainless blue.  Ashton and I picked out the color and I love it.  We still need to hang some stuff on the walls, then I will take a better after photo.  

Before school started I realized that we needed a better system for where backpacks and coats and snow gear would go so we painted and fixed up the laundry room.

Before

It had this closet.  We took off the doors because they just got it the way.  We added some hooks for coats and stuff at the kids lever.  And we added some up high outside the closet for our stuff too.  I really like how it turned out.  

After... The orange is gone.

Well at least in this room.  The front entrance is the same awful color and will be getting painted soon!  But that is going to be a huge task.  

We also retained the deck and the playground in the backyard.  That is a task I never want to repeat.  It took forever.  Like all day.  We finished in the dark by flash light.  Not fun.  But it looks okay.  Better than it did before anyway.  That deck is one of the things that we loved about this house.  The whole backyard is amazing, we need to use it more next spring/summer.
