Sumer Vacation-Vernal trip (part 3)

We headed to Vernal on the 24th.  First stop was my Grandpa Harvey and Grandma Jean's house.  We had fun eating lunch and visiting for a while.

Myles took these two pictures.  Pretty good if I do say so myself.

With Grandpa and Grandma

After visiting them we headed to Grandpa Lyle and Grandma Vee's house.
Myles took a nap and Grandpa got to hold him while he slept.

Then we went for some four-wheeler rides in the fields

Abbie got to help Grandma make her yummy rolls.

Myles got to help feed the calves. He wanted to climb right in the pens with them.

Tractor rides!  The boys loved it.

And Abbie got a turn too!

Everyone had a lot of fun on the four wheelers.

They climbed the tree in Grandma's front yard too.

We played with dogs, chickens and frogs at Heather's house.
Then we went to see mom's horse.

It was too late for all but a quick bareback ride for Myles, but he did enjoy his dinner and a treat of some oats.

Myles loved feeding him the oats right out of his hand.  I just had to help him keep his little fingers out of the way!

The next day we decided to visit the dinosaur monument before heading back to Salt Lake.  It had been closed for a while to build a new building.

Touching the bones

In the gift store Myles picked up almost every single plastic dinosaur and scared me with it.  It was really cute!

That was our trip to Vernal for this year, we had a great time!

Summer Vacation (part 2)

We got to South Jordan on Monday and spent the day unpacking, settling in to my parents house and doing laundry (why is it that we still have to do laundry even on vacation?)  The next day we went to the Living Planet Aquarium since they are in a new building.  We had an okay time considering Jake ended up getting a migraine while we were there and we didn't end up staying as long as we wanted to at first.

It was a lot the same as it was before, but different at the same time.  If that makes any sense....

Myles had a good time looking at all the displays and he really liked all of the fish.

This aquarium of huge fish was one of our favorite things we saw.

The kids had fun walking across this rope bridge.

How do you compare to a penguin?

Ashton being silly

We went to Vernal on the 24th but I want to save all of Vernal for it's own post so I am skipping ahead a little.  We got back from Vernal on the 25th and we promised the kids that we would do fireworks for the 24th since we didn't do any for the 4th so we had our own fireworks show that night.

Jake and the kids doing smoke bombs

ground flower (Ashton always asked for these)
watching the fireworks.  I thought Myles might be a little scared of them, but he wasn't at all he lived them.
All the kids laying on the grass watching the show.
We even got a few aerials since they are legal in Utah now.
