Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas Day.  We got to spend the whole day with each other, something that hasn't happened for a while because of work.  The kids must have been extra good this year because Santa found us and left lots of fun stuff.

The kids checking out their goods.

Myles was super excited about his pay dough toys.

Ashton got a much coveted bat.

And Lexie got a TARDIS necklace.

Light sabers, what were we thinking..... the best and worst toy ever all at the same time.

After going through our stockings we started opening the rest of the presents under the tree.

Abbie got a fairy garden.

Ashton got Super Mario Maker for the Wii.

Lexie got a guitar.

I was able to surprise Jake with a thermal imaging camera for his cell phone.

And he surprised me with a new circuit machine for scrapbooking!

Traditional Christmas Lego picture.

Can't wait for her to learn how to play this thing!

Abbie and Myles playing with his fishing game.

While we wish we could live closer to family and be able to spend time with them, we had a great day with just us.  We have been greatly blessed this year and can't wait to see what next year brings us.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve we Skyped with my parents so that they could watch them open the gifts from them to us.

We also opened up our traditional Christmas pjs.

I really love having family traditions.  They make the holidays so much fun.  I hope my kids enjoy them as much as I do.

Sibling gifts

We decided to open the gifts the kids got each other on Christmas Eve.   The kids pulled their money and bought each other one gift from the others.  It was a fun day the day that we went to the store to pick them out.  They kids worked hard to earn the money to buy the gifts and were thoughtful and considerate with what they picked out.  I love my kids they are so good!

Abbie got a purse making kit

Ashton got Legos

Lexie got boots

Myles was too fast for me to get a picture of, but here he is playing with Mancala.

And here is Lexie letting Grandma and Grandpa see everything on Skype.

Cookies for Santa

On Christmas Eve we decorated cookies for Santa.  The kids were in charge of frosting them.  They did a great job and had a lot off.
