Myles 11 months old

Where oh where has the last year gone.  My little man turned 11 months on the 19th and I had so much fun taking his pictures this time.  He was really playful and I just chased him around with my camera.  He got cold pretty quick because it was a little chilly outside but still lots of fun.  Then later I couldn't resist putting him in the pile of leaves that my neighbor made and then just left in the yard.  He was't sure what to think of the leaves at first.

Some fun things he is doing right now.  He can say "wa wa" (water), wow!, and ball.  He walks all  over the place and rarely crawls anymore.  He give high fives and claps and waves bye-bye.

FHE

WAY back in August (that feels almost like a year ago) we had a really fun family home evening where we had a picnic at the park and then walked down some of the cannon valley trail.  I just realized that I never blogged about it so here are some of the pictures from it.

September Happening

Besides my parents visiting and Ashton's birthday and baptism here is a little of the rest of our month.
The kids started school on the 3rd.

Lexie is in 8th grade, she is at the high school and that scares me to death.

Ashton is in 2nd grade.  He had a great year last year and hopefully he will have another one this year.

Abbie is a kindergardener this year.  She hardly seems old enough for school, she mad is she excited to be "a big kid"

Here they are waiting for the bus on their first day.

And off they go.
This one of the many ways that Myles has learned to entertain himself while they are at school and mom is busy doing something else.  He is such a curious little guy.
Cute story behind this picture, a friend of mine and the mom of the little boy in this picture sent me this picture and told me how kind Abbie was to him that first morning of school.  He was having a hard time and was crying.  She gave him a big hug and told him that everything was going to be okay, that she was scared too and that their moms would be there after school to get them.  Such a sweet heart.

There was a book fair of sorts we went to and the kids got these really cute balloon figures made for them.  Two turtles and an elephant.

I taught Ashton how to play cat's cradle and other string games one afternoon and he played with that string for days.

Our church building has been under construction since June and I took this picture as they were finally starting to frame the addition.  Can't wait for it to be finished.

Myles started standing without holding on to anything and wanting to take steps, he will be walking soon I am sure.

That was our September in a nut shell.  Great times, super busy as usual.  Oh, and Jake started outage schedule at work.  The extra money is a blessing but they sheer amount of time at work is really hard on everyone.

First Word

Myles has said his first word!  He has been saying Mom, Dada, Eh (for Lexie), Ah (for Ashton) and Ab (for Abbie) for a while but he has recently come up with his first real non-family member word.  Any guesses what it might be with the help of these two pictures?

"Wawa"

He loves drinking water or anything else out of a cup with a straw.  Mostly I have a cup of water with me throughout the day and he always wants a drink.  Now he asks for a drink by saying wawa it is the cutest thing!

Myles is 10 months old

Ok, so he has been for a while now, but I finally got pictures taken last week and have one ready to put on here.  I can't believe how big he is getting and how much he is learning every single day.

He has started walking, but I would not call him a toddler just yet, he still prefers to crawl because it is faster for him, but I know that won't last too much longer.

Here is a video of him learning to walk.  The first part where he is in the shorts is from the day he turned 10 months old and the next part is just one week later.
