Other March Happening (man we were busy!)

We had a lot going on in March here is some more of the things we did.  We went to the Twin Cities Auto Show.  The kids always have a good time getting to crawl into all those cars and play around.

It was a fun night!

Myles entertaining himself while I was exercising.  He is such a smart little guy.

Ashton got to do the pine wood derby again for scouts.  We were a little less prepared for it than last year, but we did manage to get the car made before the big day.

Here is Ashton introducing his car.

Some of the races.

He was one of the final three cars.

All of the boys.

The finals.  Ashton got second place!

Way to go!  Not too shabby for people who don't know that much about pine wood derby.

They had the coolest trophies this year.  Ones that displayed the cars right on them.

Ashton with his car and trophy.  It will go in his room by last years trophy.

Easter

The egg hunt.  There was still snow on the ground outside so we had out hunt indoors.

Finding eggs and candy.

Getting every last thing!

She's so pretty.

His basket was starting to get heavy.  But he has strong muscles!

All the kids.  Sometimes it is so hard to get a good picture of everyone.

Abbie is the queen of pulling faces.

Enjoying some treats.

They love each other so much. This is one of my favorite pictures.

Peeling eggs for creamed eggs.  Another Christiansen tradition.

Easter Prep

Myles had been begging me to make some sort of Easter cookies and I just didn't want to go to all the work of making sugar cookies and frosting.   But I found a great solution!  This kit of remade cookies and stuff to decorate them with.

Working hard on those cookies.

They did a great job in decorating and sharing the supplies.

Finished masterpieces.

And then it was time to eat them.

We also dyed Easter Eggs.

Wow! These pictures make Lexie out to be a typical teenager who doesn't want to participate in a family activity but she wasn't.

Myles had so much fun.

See Lexie was enjoying herself!

We have always let each kid dye a dozen eggs (a tradition from Jake's family) so there are always plenty of eggs to go around.  Although it seems to go so fast at the same time.

It was a fun afternoon. Now for the Easter Bunny to visit in a few days.
