A Visit From the Tooth Fairy

Ashton lost his first tooth yesterday.  It has been loose for a while and last night I decided that it just needed to come out.  It only took a couple of tugs and it was out.  He was so brave and didn't cry a bit even though it bled a lot cause one of the roots was still stuck tight.  Once it was out, we talked about putting in under his pillow for the tooth fairy to exchange for a dollar coin  He thought about it for a while then he asked, "is the tooth fairy real or is it just parents that come and put the money under your pillow?"  I asked him what he thought and after thinking about it for a minute he said, "I not sure but I think I am going to believe in the tooth fairly just in case!"  It was so funny,  He never fails to entertain me with the things he comes up with.
Lucky for him the tooth fairy came through with his dollar coin.  He was all smiles today, showing off the hole in his teeth.  (He told me this picture looks like a mug shot for the tooth fairy, which I guess it kinda does!)  I will have to take another one with his treasure and put it on here too, tomorrow though.

My Own Little Picasso

Abbie loves coloring and painting.  I bought some paints at the store the other day and she has begged to use them everyday since.  Well today I got her all set up so I could get some stuff done.    When I looked over to check on her she looked so cute that I had to take a couple of pictures.
She is my little artist, she is always wanting to color with something.  She has even ruined (so Lexie says) many a homework page of Lexie's by adding her own artistic touches to them.  Now I make sure Abbie has her own "homework" to do while Lexie is doing hers.

Baseball

Ashton had his first baseball game last Monday, then another game Wednesday.  Finally, Wednesday was a warm day for baseball! I think he has a really good coach this year who is really trying his best to teach the kids things.  We actually have practices that are productive and Ashton is excited everyday that is a "baseball day".    He has been up to bat 5 times total between both games and has hit off the pitching machine 4 of those times.  I am so proud of him.  Here are a few more pictures from the game...

Playing short stop.  Ready for action.
It's a hit.  I love his tongue sticking out.  (It is like that in every picture of him hitting :)
Getting a little fielding advice from Grandpa.
He is serious about this baseball business... I love the coach and other kids on Ashton's team in the background of this shot.  This is how most kids play in the field at this age, with no idea what is going on at the plate!

Look Who's Three!

Happy Birthday Abbie!  She has been looking forward to this day since Lexie's birthday and has been practicing showing everyone how old she is for weeks.  Birthday celebrations started Saturday with lunch at Carl's Jr.  The she had to wait until mid-morning today to open her presents so that Jake could watch on the computer.  Gotta love video chat!!
She kept laughing while we were talking to him, I think she was super excited that he got to be part of her birthday celebration all the way from Minnesota.  She loved opening her presents.  Her favorite was the set of disney princess barbies that she got.
At church she got the royal treatment and got sang to at least twice, lucky girl.  After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for cake and ice cream.  Notice a theme here... (more princesses)
Oh ya, and more presents..

Then the birthday bear made his appearance.
I think she had a fun filled day don't you?
She feel asleep at about 6:30 on the way home and slept all night.
