Katliss

Abbie got a cute vet kit for Christmas and she has been playing with the kitty that came with it a lot lately.  She informed me the other day that said cat's name was Katliss.  Yesterday while I was in the shower Abbie had a mini photo shoot with Katliss, as you can see Katliss was a very good subject.

Abbie said she was a princess and had made her that crown to wear.  Once I was ready I had Abbie pose with Katliss for a few more pictures....

She really loves that cat.

Myles' Blessing

We blessed Myles Kelly Lars Christiansen on Sunday, Feb 3, 2013.  It was a really good day and Jake gave him a nice blessing.  It was hard being so far from loved ones and not having any family there to share our big day, but still it was good.  And we have made enough friends here that it was still good and felt almost like family were there.  One nice member of our ward was kind enough to write down some of the things that Jake mentioned in the blessing which I was grateful for.  I am going to write it all down in his baby book so that we will always remember it.  I wish I had something similar for the other kids, but I don't.  And I don't really remember either so I can't go back and add it.  It is something I would like to do for others sometime.  Here are a few pictures from the big day.

More Myles

Are you sick of seeing my adorable baby yet?  I hope not because I have more posts all about him,  here is the first one.  I finished his baby video, it made me really sad when I was making it that no one got our video camera out at the hospital.  Not once, I guess there just weren't enough hands during the delivery and I felt terrible the day of my surgery (the day after he was born).  Poor little guy, oh well at least we have some pictures.  Anyway here is his video.....

Making his video and watching it over and over again while I was editing it made Abbie and Ashton want to watch their videos.  It was fun to go back and watch their videos (which we haven't watched for WAY too long)  and talk about the days that they were born.  I love that having a new baby had led to so many chances to talk about what life was like when the others were babies.  It has been really fun.
