Myles' moments

Myles is so much fun.  He is also a handful most of the time.  He is curious and stubborn, but he is also cute and silly and fun.  He finds something new to get into almost every single day.  He definitely keeps me on my toes.  Here are a few Myles' moments...

Here he is folding his arms for prayer the other night, he is just learning how to do it and he only stays this way for a second or two but he's figuring it out.

Abbie and Myles watching something on the iPad...with no pants on.  He takes them off whenever he can get them off.  I can't wait for warmer weather so he can just wear shorts.

My little lefty.  I am almost positive that he is going to be left handed like me.  He seems to prefer his left hand and will transfer things like a spoon or pencil to his left hand from his right.  And this is him being Mr. Independent.  It would seem he has already hit the "terrible twos" ....at 15 months.  He always wants to do everything by himself and gets upset if he can't.  Also, I am so grateful for the many different kinds of food that are out there now.  He is eating "cultured coconut milk" --coconut yogurt.  I don't think such a thing even existed when Lexie was a baby or if it did, I don't have any idea where I would have been able to find it.  Not that I would have been looking for something like that for her.  But his milk protein intolerance has made me look outside the box for things for him  and all of us to eat.  And I am grateful that they are there.

Playing with Chester, his red panda from build a bear.

Doing puzzles, when he wants to sit still he is really good at doing these simple puzzles.  But a lot he doesn't want to hold still long enough to put all the pieces in the puzzle.

Daddy's Little Helper

So we finally have had some warmer weather and it seems that spring may indeed come to Minnesota this year after all.  We have had a bunch of warmer weather (temps in the 40s) and some of our snow is finally melting.  We were outside the other day, Jake was clearing some of the ice/snow from the driveway now that it had softened up a little and Myles insisted that he needed to help.  We have a kids size snow shovel,  Myles had it and followed Jake around mimicking him.

Baby Blue Eyes

I took this picture of Myles today and his eyes just looked so blue to me I had to share it.

Bird watching

One good thing we have found in Minnesota is the beautiful birds that migrate through here that we really didn't have in Utah.  There are cardinals and blue jays and a bunch of different kinds of finches that frequent our bird feeders right now.  In a few more weeks the orioles will be here.  We have two bird feeds and Myles loves to sit and watch the birds at them.

A blue jay in the trees... they are fast it's hard to catch them at the feeder.

Some finches eating both if these were the day before a snow storm

Myles watching the birds and the snow.

A cardinal at the feeder, they are fast too but Ashton was able to snap a couple of him there.

One day Myles was watching the birds and the sun was setting and he just looked so cute that I had to take a few of him watching the birds.  See how excited he gets.

Then Abbie joined in...by beautiful babies.

And one more of the cardinal in the trees.

Winter is never going to end....

Remember these pictures I took just two weeks ago?

It was fun while it lasted, but it was only those two days, that was it.  Two. days.  Two days in the 40's.  We are in what feels like an eternal freezer.  This is the temperature right now at 8:30 am....
...on March 3.  The high temperature yesterday was 0, the day before that it was 1.  Oh and we have gotten about another foot of snow since then....  Spring is never going to come. Ever.

My Little Reader

Abbie is officially a reader!  This is the first book that she read all by herself.  I am so proud of her for figuring it out.  And she was suer proud of herself.  I know that she has wanted to be able to read like her big brother and sister for a long time and now she can!  Way to go Abbie!
