Somebody's ONE

I can't believe that a whole year has gone by since this sweet little man joined our family.  It seems like only yesterday that I was in labor with him and then we bringing him home from the hospital, and now he is a whole year old.  He is so sweet and I love him more and more each day.  I can't imagine life without him.  I am so grateful that he is part of our family.

Some things about Myles on his first birthday....  He has 5 teeth (almost 6) and he just figured out this week how to stand up on his own in the middle of the room without holding on to anything, he loves his siblings and laughs at them when they are being silly, he loves balls of any sort, and he is constantly on the move.  He hates sitting still and is always exploring and figuring out how things work.  I love watching him trying to figure something out, you can see his little brain working so hard .  His feet are very ticklish and you are almost guaranteed a laugh if you tickle them.  Here are his birthday pictures....

Happy birthday little man.  We love you so much.

October

Here are a few of the things we did this month....

Myles burned his finger (there is a blister on his middle finger) when he pulled my flat iron off the bathroom counter.  Ouch!

He is becoming quite the little artist while shopping with mom, he always wants to color on the list.  And I think I might finally have my lefty!  He seems to prefer his left hand.  I can hope right?

He loves this dinosaur toy that used to be Ashton's that my parents brought with them when they came in September.

He had so much fun playing with the candy bowl I couldn't help but take his cute picture.

Abbie and Ashton played fall soccer, they both enjoyed it a lot.

Myles loved playing with the little soccer balls

Lexie and Myles playing the iPad one day he is quite good at wack a zombie!

Lexie was in the high school play.  The ants and the grasshoppers.  She was an ant and part of the winter storm

We went to both of the performances that they did.  They kids loved it.  Ashton and Abbie giggled through the whole thing (both times) and Myles stood in my lap and watched intently (both times)  She did a great job.

 A great month!

Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year.  Abbie got invited to her friends Halloween party the weekend before Halloween and she had a blast.

They got all tangled up in "cobwebs"

Ate marshmallows with out their hands and lots of other fun games.

This was the group of kids that were at the party,

She was the pink power ranger this year, I think she liked being able to "be tough" because he costume was.

We also found this cute gingerbread house and the kids always have so much fun decorating them at Christmas that it didn't take much to convince me to get this one for them.  They had a fun afternoon decorating it.

We carved pumpkins too.

Abbie drew her own design and I helped her carve it.

Jake's "radioactive" pumpkin

Lexie's love struck pumpkin

Myles' first pumpkin!

Ashton's pumpkin had 6 eyes

I carved one too, but since I am usually behind the camera we didn't get a picture of mine.  Oh well.

Halloween Night

My three little trick or treaters, Lexie decided that she was too old this year so she helped me out by stating home and handing out candy (and watching Myles after I took him just a few of our neighbors) or at least the was the plan, except no one came.  We only had 4 kids come to our house... and those were some of our kids friends.  Sad, really sad.  Jake had to work so he missed out on all the fun.

My little skeleton

Pink Power!

My angry bird boy.

I'm kinda disappointed my camera must have had a smudge on the lens because almost all of the pictures turned out a little (or a lot) blurry from Halloween night.  I think I might just have to take a few more.
