Thankful Turkey

So I have been a blogging rut lately. Not that we haven't been doing stuff, just really nothing has felt blog worthy. The kids asked me why I hadn't put our thankful turkey on our blog, so I decided to do it since I haven't had anything else to blog about. The other night for FHE we made a thankful turkey, I have seen many different kinds of thankful turkeys and I have never been very impressed with the finished product but when I saw this one in a magazine I decided I really liked it and it could be on our table all month long. The kids really had a good time coming up with things to be thankful for and I wrote anything Ashton said, Lexie wrote her own. I think the best part is going to be next year when we get to go back and read all of the things that we were thankful for this year....

Jenny,
The body is a 8 inch styrofoam ball with an inch cut off the bottom (so he could stand) that has yarn wrapped around it(it took two small things.) I sprayed the ball with spray adhesive before I started wrapping and more as I thought it needed it. The head is just a ball of yarn. I stuck them together with a craft stick, which is what we used to stick the feathers to the body.
