Aces Game

Red Wing has a semi professional baseball team.  It is mostly guys that have recently graduated from high school (within the last few years), are decent ball players and they have the time.  They aren't affiliated with any major league team, but they are fun to watch and you get in free to the games.  Anyway, the baseball association made an arrangement this year for the teams to get announced at an Aces game and for the kids to be able to take infield with the team.  It was really fun for the kids because it is a cool field (actual grand stand, lights, a score board and an announcer) and they really look up to those guys.  Here are some of the pictures I took from Ashton's night.

Getting some final instructions and waiting for the game to start

Team huddle (#48 is Ty Buck- a big name in Red Wing baseball.  He could possibly play in the MLB one day, he just graduated and is playing ball at a college in SD) The kids were a little star struck. Oh and I took it upon myself to be the team photographer and went right into the dugout with the coaches like I belonged there.  I got some really great pictures!

Being introduced

Taking the field.

Taking infield practice at the top of the third inning.

It was a super fun night.  Ashton had a good time. One I hope he will always remember.  And the Aces won!
