Labor Day Fun

My parents were here for Labor Day and we had a great time driving around Lake Pepin and showing them some of Minnesota.  Our first stop was a view area on Lake Pepin where we had a picnic and explored a little.

After our picnic we went to "The Little House in the Big Woods"  from the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.  It is just outside of Pepin Wisconsin.

It was fun to explore the little old house. 

Our next stop was the lock and dam in Alma which I have talked about before.  He is a picture of Abbie on the train bridge.

Our next stop was Lark toys for a carousel ride and ice cream.

They also have an old time candy shop and Ashton thought these cricket candies were super funny.

After that we headed for Hok Si La park and a quick dip in the Mississippi.  Just our feet.

Then we played at the park for a while.  

We had a great day, it was fun to be able to spend it with family that we don't get to see very often anymore.
